An Autistic Child's Voice

Angry-Child
A Powerful Poem to Explain How he Feels

Waiting is frustrating

Anger burns inside me

Impatient I am and anxious

Though I must stop and think

Inside me the urge to push

NO I mustn’t; I am good

Help, I need help, but I mustn’t

Oh how angry, sad, frustrated and tense I am

Please it must be the end

End and last!

I’m so glad, glad the emotions fade away.

A poem by an Autistic Child Aged 9
